Select the format of the calendar. Information about formats There are two parts to a calendar format: it's orientation (year, month, or day) and the display length. We suggest using the largest display length less than or equal to your display's length, which will have the most space to show days or let you mark them. You can always use a format with a shorter display length. If you use a format with a longer display length than your display, then weeks will run over multiple lines and you won't be able to see a full week on one line. The orientation of the format describes what information is shown on each line. We've included a guide to this below, and we encourage you to try out multiple formats and use the one you like best. A year-oriented format shows the year, month, and weekdays on the same line. This makes it easy to go to any month and year and is therefore optimal for files containing many years, but it leaves less space for marking days or weeks. A month-oriented format shows the month and weekdays on each line with a label above them showing the year. A week-oriented format shows only the weekdays on a line with labels every month to show the month and year. This includes the most space for marking days and weeks.
